This view looks to the east along Waterloo Place from the East End of Princes Street. On the left is Register House, with Steele's monument to Wellington in front of the building. On the right, above the coach, with its urns (now removed) at the top of the frontage is the General Post Office at the corner of Waterloo Place and North Bridge Straight ahead are the monuments on Calton Hill. |
