The postcard above is by W Smith, Goldenacre, who sold several postcards of the Granton area. Goldenacre lies about a mile inland to the south-east of Granton Harbour. There is no date on this one, and it has not been sent through the post The view shows the northern end of Eastern Breakwater at Granton, with the lighthouse and wooden structure at the end still in tact. This has gradually disintegrated since about the 1960s. |
