Postcard
Here is a postcard published by
Valentine. It is a little different from most cards of
the Forth Bridge, having half of what appears to be a SMT
single-decker bus in the lower right corner.
This card has not been sent through
the post, but its number 'A646' indicates that the photo was
taken in 1934, when the bridge was only 44 years old. Today, in 2009 the bridge is 119
years old.
Ferry
The ferry passing in front of the
rail bridge is one of the new
Queensferry Passage
ferries, 'Queen Margaret' and 'Robert the Bruce'. These
both started operating on the service in early 1934.
