Angle Park Terrace |
Question |
Restoration
Here is a
photograph, taken in 2003, of the old fire station at Angle Park Terrace
undergoing restoration - to what?
|
Answer |
Thank you to
Stephen, Munich, Germany who wrote:
"The fire station is now a
Scotmid Funeral Home (and has been for a couple of years). My sister lives
just along the road" |
Location
This
building is the south side of Angle Park Terrace. The street is
close to the western end of the Western Approach Road at Gorgie.
The
Western Approach Road follows the track of the old railway track to
Lothian Road, passing close to the new multi-cinema complex at
Fountainbridge and the Edinburgh Conference Centre at The Exchange. |
Across the Road
Across the road from the old fire station (above) is No 20, the home
where the Edinburgh professional photographer and bagpipe maker lived from
1893 to 1907. |
