Brighton Street is a short street leading to the north from
Lothian Street, near Bristo Place, Edinburgh. Part of the
new southern wall of the National Museum of Scotland which opened
in 1998 can be seen here at the end of Brighton Street.
I took this photograph for one of the visitors to the EdinPhoto
web site who told me that they had an ancestor who used to live at
10 Brighton Street.
Starting with the nearest buildings, the house numbers in the
photograph above are:
- on the western (left-hand) side of the street: 1,
3, 5, 7, 9.
- on the eastern (right-hand) side of the street:
2, 4, 6, 8, 10.
