Chambers Street

The Street

Chamber Street runs parallel to Edinburgh's Royal Mile, a short distance to the south.  It runs from George IV Bridge to South Bridge.

This statue is in the centre of Chambers Street, facing towards the steps and main entrance to the Royal Museum of Scotland

This view looks to the west up Chambers Street towards George IV Bridge and the statue to Greyfriars Bobby.  The Sheriff Courts, built in the 1990s, are in the background

The inscription on the front of the plinth, facing towards the Royal Museum of Scotland, reads:
