SELEX Galileo The companies based here now operate under the brand name SELEX Galileo. They are: - SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems Ltd and - Galileo Avionica SpA. Both are defence electronic companies, subsidiaries of Finmeccanica. Ferranti Ferranti, known for its defence electronics, used to be based on this site. Their factory opened in 1943 to manufacture gyro gunsights for Spitfire aircraft. Ferranti ceased trading in 1993. Their business was acquired by a variety of companies. |
