David Octavius Hill
The
gravestone in the foreground is to David Octavius Hill who together with
Robert Adamson - the 'Hill & Adamson' partnership - produced many calotype
photos from their studio at Rock House, Calton Hill, Edinburgh between 1843
and 1847.
The
