Acknowledgement

These photos are from a large batch believed to have:

once belonged to Leith Town Council,

-   been  thrown out some time in the 1920s following the amalgamation of Edinburgh and Leith,

-   been rescued and kept privately in Scotland for 20 years,

-   been taken to New Zealand by Jack Steel when he emigrated,

-   been returned to John Stewart, Scotland by Jack's daughter, Heather.  John Stewart is author of the Old Leither web site.
