Linlithgow
from 2008
Thank you to Camille Craig, Donaldson's College, for allowing
me to reproduce the photograph above of Donaldson's new school
that opened on a hill top overlooking Linlithgow, West
Lothian in 2008.

"Donaldson’s
entered a new era in January 2008 as the highly specialised
residential and day school opened the doors on its brand new
premises in Linlithgow, West Lothian.
Donaldson’s is a
national Grant Aided Special School (GASS) supported by the
Scottish Government and can accommodate a maximum roll of 120
pupils aged from 2 ½ years to 19 years including up to 24
residential pupils.
The school was
famously located in Edinburgh’s west end for more than 150 years
but the historic buildings were no longer fit for purpose. The
relocation therefore provided Donaldson’s with the unique
opportunity to completely design a new school and optimise the
learning environment for deaf and speech and language impaired
pupils."
