Gardens open to the Public
In earlier years, St Andrew
Square Gardens were owned by the banks, insurance companies and other
offices around St Andrew Square and were rarely used. But they were
recently passed to the City of Edinburgh on a fifty year lease.
The city has now redeveloped
the gardens, with new landscaping including a water feature as can be seen
in the photograph above. The gardens were then open to the public
about a month ago (in April 2008) and have been well used to date.
