Ernie Gray, former Treasurer of Granton History Group has written about
several of the churches in the Granton Area. His notes can be found
on this
Granton History Group web page.
In particular, Ernie explains that:
- Granton Methodist Church was built near the western end of
Boswall Parkway in 1937.
- It was decided in 2001 that the Methodist Church and
Congregational Church, both in Boswall Parkway, should unite and that the
Congregational Church should be sold. It was sold to the Seventh Day
Adventists.

Thank you to David King, Secretary and Webmaster of Granton History
Group, for telling me that, unfortunately, the former Granton Methodist
Church is no longer in use.

"Following an amalgamation the former Granton
Methodist Church briefly became Granton United Church, but it is no longer
in use and may be demolished.
Here is a photograph of the church that I took
last week."
