I took these two photos today, after having passed this spot in the Royal Mile on the last two Friday mornings, on walks with the guide Graeme Cruikshank.

The subjects of these walks were:

1.  'Following the course of the Edinburgh City Walls' and

2.  'Robert Burns in Edinburgh'.
