The Main Hall This photo was taken, looking down from the first floor balcony to the Main Hall of the Royal Museum on April 27, 2008, the day that the museum closed its doors to the public, to undergo three years of refurbishment. Entertainment provided on this occasion, a Sunday afternoon, included music and Scottish Country Dancing in the Main Hall in front of the Millennium Clock.
