Looking towards Arthur's Seat
This photo was taken from The Scott Monument in August 2009.
It looks across Edinburgh Old Town to Arthur's Seat, the 823 ft extinct
volcano in Holyrood Park, on he skyline on the left.
In the centre of the photo is the railway and the
roof of Waverley Station, with Waverley Bridge and its tour buses and
airport buses crossing diagonally across the photo.
Following the line of Waverley bridge towards the
skyline, the crown of St Giles Church in the high street can be seen.
The spire of the Tron Kirk is also on the
skyline, close to Arthur's Seat.
