St Columba's Hospice

Boswall Road, Trinity, Edinburgh

Background

Rebuilding the Hospice

This  St Columba's Hospice website page explains the reason  for demolishing the hospice buildings at Boswall Road, Trinity, built in the late 1970s, and replacing them with a new hospice on the same site.

The old hospice buildings at Boswall Road closed in early 2012, and the hospice has moved to Kirklands House, Ingliston, until new facilities become available at Boswall Road, expected to be in 2014.

Progress to Date

Building Work

Spring 2012:  Old buildings demolished, apart from the original C18 Challenger Lodge which is to be retained.

Summer 2012:  Earth removed and concrete base laid for foundations at a lower level.

I hope to add photos of the to the EdinPhoto web site as the building work progresses.  Please scroll down, then click on the thumbnail images below.
