The View

This view looks to the NE from the tower of St Stephen's church.

-  The foreground of this photo includes lots of new housing, including the large curved section of housing in St Vincent Place at the western end of Fettes Row (lower right corner)

-  Edinburgh Academy in Henderson Row is the low building with four columns at its main entrance (centre left).

-  Leith, beneath a storm when this photo was taken, is on the skyline (upper right).  The light building to the left of Leith is Chancelot Mill at Leith Western Harbour, Newhaven.

-  Immediately to the right of Chancelot Mill is the island of Inchkeith in the Firth of Forth.
