Edinburgh Civil Defence Messenger Service

Trinity Civil Defence Group

Thank you to Walter Lyle Hume for allowing me to reproduce this card, found while he was 'rummaging through the proverbial shoe-box, looking for something else'.

Walter tells me he recollects that the Trinity Civil Defence group (based in Trinity Academy) were singled out for commendation, and that there was a Parade and Service in St Giles Cathedral.  He does not remember what the actual gift was that accompanied this card.  Perhaps somebody else will remember.

Walter Lyle Hume, Cowes, Isle of Wight, England:  October 23+24, 2008
