Lennie

Thank you to Harry Wilson, Melton South, Victoria, Australia, for allowing me to reproduce these  photographs of a Kodak No 5 Cartridge camera with an E Lennie nameplate that he has been restoring.

Harry Wilson writes:

No5 Cartridge Kodak

"I came across an old No5 Cartridge Kodak camera with the name plate of 'E Lennie, Optician, Edinburgh'.

This model was manufactured from 1898 to 1907.  It used both roll film and 5x7 plate holders, and was the largest daylight- loading Kodak roll film camera.

This one has a metal front not wooden so I can assume it was the Model E from 1901 to 1907."

Restoration

"The camera was in a lot of stress and was a candidate for the rubbish tip.

I have restored the camera except for the lens/shutter assembly  which I am on the lookout for."
