Location

The pedestrians here are heading along Princes Street and crossing Hanover Street.

This view looks up Hanover Street towards the statue of George IV at the Hanover Street / George Street junction.

This photograph was taken from the steps of the Royal Scottish Academy in Princes Street.

The photograph above was taken with an exposure of 1/8 second - just about long enough to convert several of the pedestrians to 'one-legged figures' as one leg remained on the ground and the other swung through the air during the exposure.
