Roslin Branch

Thank you to David Bain for allowing me to reproduce this photograph of the former Great North of Scotland Railway loco No 49, 'Gordon Highlander'.  The loco is now one of the exhibits in Glasgow Transport Museum.

Acknowledgement:  David Bain, March 7, 2008.

This is an excursion along the Roslin Branch.  Perhaps somebody will be able to tell me the date of this excursion.

Answer

Thank you to Colin Dawson who replied:

"This photo is likely to have been taken on the Railtour along the branch on 16th October 1965."

Thank you to Colin for also telling me about this page on the Railscot web site which has a photo Gordon Highlander,  at Loanhead taken during this Railtour, together with further details of the Railtour.
