South Suburban Line
The South Suburban line ran in a circle from Waverley Station
through some of the eastern, southern and western suburbs of
Edinburgh. Passenger services were withdrawn in 1962.
Freight trains still run over parts of the line.
Travelling clockwise around the circle, the stations on the
line were:
Waverley > Abbeyhill > Piershill > Duddingston &
Craigmillar > Newington > Blackford Hill > Morningside Road > Craiglockhart
> Gorgie East > Haymarket > Waverley. |
