Crowds gather to watch the street
theatre during the Edinburgh Festival on a sunny Saturday Afternoon in
August 2003.
For the duration of the festival
each year, the section of the Royal Mile from George IV Bridge (close to
the 'Welcome" banners - foreground) to Cockburn Street (close to the
"Haste Ye Back" banner - background) is closed to traffic and handed
over to visitors to perform and watch street theatre
