This it a sight
that may not be seen for much longer.
There have been
ice cream vans beside the National Galleries at the foot of the
Mound for many years. The Wilson and Corrigan families have operated
these vans here in the summer for the past eighty years.
The Edinburgh City
Council licensing authorities have a new policy on street trading under
which they have allowed the vans to stay here for one more year (2006),
but have asked the traders to find alternative sites after that.
