Here is a view from a helicopter taken in December 2003, looking down on Queensferry High Street. This section of the street lies between the small Queensferry Harbour (off picture to left) and the southern end of the Forth Rail Bridge (off picture to top). |

South Queensferry lies on the Firth of Forth about ten miles from the centre of Edinburgh. When the first of the photos above was taken, South Queensferry was well outside Edinburgh. It had a Rail Bridge and a ferry to North Queensferry in Fife. Now, South Queensferry lies within the Edinburgh boundary. It has a Rail Bridge and a Road Bridge to Fife. |
