Clark Stonemasons were based at Canonmills, across the road from the Esso Petrol Station, until 1991. The stonemasons then moved to West Shore Road, Granton, leaving their Canonmills premises vacant and available to be used for selling Christmas trees in December each year from 1991 until 1995. The building was then demolished, so in 1996 Christmas trees were sold from the yard where the building used to stand. 1996 Apartments for short-term let were then build on the site. |
