Colinton was a separate village beside the Water of Leith, to the south of Edinburgh when this card was first produced. It is now within the Edinburgh boundary, but much of its character and many of its houses and the old church have survived. This area is still a peaceful corner of the village. |

The card is in the style of cards of the early 1900s. It has been sent through the post from Edinburgh to Cheshire, but the stamp has been removed and with it, most of the postmark that would have given the date of posting. |
