Thank you to Donald Davidson for allowing me to reproduce this photo. David tells me that the photo was sent to him a few years ago. David wrote: "This view looks into Edina Street from Easter Road. That's probably Crolla's Restaurant down towards Elgin Terrace." The large tree at the end of Edina Street is in Elgin Terrace. In the map below, Edina Street is the short street on the west side of Easter rode (above the large red 'N' of CALTON) The large wheelie bin on the corner of Easter Road and Edina Street suggests to me that the photo is probably not too old, perhaps early 2000s?
