This view looks to the SE up Harrison Road towards the bridge over the Union Canal.

This photo was taken in May 2008, when the cherry trees were in bloom.

Thank you to Colin Kay who wrote:

"If you look carefully at the buildings on the left of the photo you can see some fresh stonework on the ground level,  It's now a house.

It was a small general stores shop which when the owner retired.  Then, in 1955, my grandfather, AW Johnstone bought it and opened his plumbing business there, trading under his own name.  Everybody knew him as Sandy Johnstone. closed down due to the owner retiring."
