Buses The red open-top 'City Sightseeing' buses and green open-top 'City Tour' buses both pause here beside the near pavement, before continuing their route to Holyrood Palace at the foot of the Royal Mile and other destinations. The red and cream 'Edinburgh Vintage Bus' open-top buses pause against the far pavement before heading up the Royal Mile and down Johnston Terrace beneath Edinburgh Castle.
