View from South Trinity Road Bridge

Looking West

This photo was taken following a heavy snowfall in December 2009, from the bridge beside the scout hut in South Trinity Road.

This view looks to the west, towards Granton Road , along route of the former Caledonian railway line that used to run Princes Street Station to Leith.  The line is now part of the network of footpaths and cycle paths in the north of Edinburgh.

In recent years it has also been used as part of the Edinburgh Marathon Route for runners returning from Silverknowes towards Leith.

Looking East

Here is another view taken on the same morning, looking in the opposite direction from bridge in South Trinity Road.
