Wemyss Place

Wemyss Place is part of the First New Town of Edinburgh.  It is a short street, leading north from the west end of Queen Street towards Stockbridge.  It was named after the Earl of Wemyss whose house was nearby.

I added the photograph above to the web site in response to this message left in the Edinphoto Guest book by Faith Batson, Norwich, Norfolk, England on 14, March 2006.   Faith wrote:

" am looking for photos of 5 Wemyss Place, Edinburgh. My grandfather apparently stayed there whilst returning home to Nairn for his father's funeral. Would anyone be able to help me? Thanks  -  Faith"
