Concerts at Edinburgh Castle Esplanade

The promoters, Capital Concerts have announced that they plan to hold a series of concerts, perhaps four or five, at the Castle Esplanade in summer 2004. 

This is an 8,500 seat venue (in the summer when the seats have been erected for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, held during the Edinburgh Festival each year).

Cliff Richard and 'Westlife'

It has been confirmed that the concert on 17 July will feature Sir Cliff Richard.  Tickets (priced from £30 to £44) are to go on sale from Sunday 15 February.  The ticket line number is 0870 903 3444.

'Westlife', as part of their UK Tour,  will be performing at Edinburgh Castle on 24 July 2004.
