Update  -  March 2006

Around 4,000 entrants are now expected for this event, now described as the Edinburgh Forthside Half Marathon.  This is about twice the number originally envisaged for the event.

The organisers have set themselves a target of over 10,000 entrants for the 2007 event.

Update  -  November 2006

Around 3,500 entrants actually took part in the event.

There was some criticism of the event from competitors, including comments on overcrowding at the start and end of the event.

The organisers intend to address these problems for the 2007 event.  They hope to attract 5,000 runners for the 2007 event increasing to 10,000 entrants within two to three years.
