10 km Run
and
1.5 km Fun Run
4,200 runners are
expected to participate in the Capital City Challenge. This will be
the fourth year that the event has been held. It is sponsored by the
Edinburgh Evening News.
The route of the 10km
Run will be from Meadowbank Stadium through Queens Park and
Edinburgh Old Town to Princes Street, then down the Canongate and
back to Meadowbank Stadium.
There will also be a
1.5km fun run, starting and ending at Meadowbank Stadium, including a
Junior Challenge for children.
There will be bands and
pipers along the route. Over 5,000 participants are expected.
