Edinburgh Festivals

2010

Dates and Attendances

Edinburgh Evening News reported these results from the recently published City of Edinburgh Council Edinburgh Council Survey.

The results show some significant increases in attendances for 2010, compared to 2009, including a surprisingly high increase for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe if the figures in this table are to be believed.

NOTE  I could not reconcile the TOTAL as published in the table in the Evening News article.  It gave totals of: 5,486,354 (very close) and 4,402,251 (Where did that come from?)

I think the 2009 total may include figures for 'The Gathering', part of Scotland's Year of Homecoming (not listed in the table above.

So I have calculated my own totals for the table above.
