The Great Scottish Walk, a charity
event, is to be held in Edinburgh on 20 June 2004.
The route will
be 12-miles, starting at Holyrood Palace, travelling around Arthur's Seat,
through the Old Town of Edinburgh, Princes Street Gardens and Leith and finishing at Meadowbank
Stadium.
A shorter, 6-mile route will also be
available.
The Great Scottish Walk 2003
had 5,000 entrants and raised £860,000 for charities. It is hoped
that the 2004 event has a target of £1 million. |
