Lindsay Road is close to the Firth of Forth beside
Leith Western Harbour. It had a double-bend and a bridge over the railway
line, close to North Fort Street, but the road has now been re-aligned and
now passes to the north of the railway bridge.

"The original
Lindsay Road looks very much the same as I remember it
including the old metal bridge leading to
Newhaven, although the railway lines
have been removed and the route under the bridge has
been converted to a cycle path."

"At
the very end of North Fort Street
(where it joins Lindsay Road at the old railway bridge)
there is a ladies' hairdresser.
It was a men's barber in the
1950s but is still very recognisable.
On the corner opposite
is a pub, which I would guess is the same
pub as I remember from the 1950s."
