James Burns

EPS and EPC Member

James Burns was an amateur photographer.  He was a prominent Member of Edinburgh Photographic Society in the late 19th and early 20th century.

He was also a Member of Edinburgh Photographic Club from 1897 to 1907.  The 'Club' was a select group of 30 photographers, all of whom had to be EPS Members.  Entry was by invitation.

James Burns exhibited his work in the EPS 1890 Exhibition

He, together with James Patrick, another EPS Member, judged the photographic exhibition held in Waverley Market in 1901
