Edinburgh Evening News

and Evening Dispatch

1.  The Edinburgh Evening News was first published in 1873.

2.  The Edinburgh Evening Dispatch was first published in 1886.

     This became the Evening Dispatch in1921.

3.  These two newspapers merged  to form the
Edinburgh Evening News & Dispatch in 1963.

4.  This became the Edinburgh Evening News in 1967.
It became the Evening News later in 1967.
