Elsmore Studio [in some directories]

Elsmere Studio was based at 223 High Street, Portobello until 1925, when it became Miss Moir’s Gramophone & Music Depot.

The trade directories show this as being the address of the photographer John K Home Crawford from 1900 and 1921.

1.  Were the Edinburgh and Glasgow studios under the same ownership?

2.  Was there any connection with:

-   William Elsmere, whose photograph of a school band is in the Edinburgh Public Library collection?

-   Elsmere & Co who had a studio in Glasgow, 1897-05?

Elsmore Studio, based at 152 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow  produced postcard-style portraits, including one that appears to be of a college graduate.
