Here are the front and back of one of William Fairbairn's cartes de visite. The address is 10 Crown Street, Leith - the address given for Fairbairn's studio, 1891-93. This is the only address that I have seen on Fairbairn's cartes de visite The back of the carte de visite shows where the thin sheet of tissue used to be attached. These sheets were folded over the front of cartes de visite to protect the image, but in almost all cases they are now no longer attached.
