Farmer exhibited 4 portraits in the
3rd PSS Exhibition which
opened in December 1858. He wrote:
“Trusting
you may not think the pictures unworthy of a pupil of Sjabo’s."
One
of these portraits was of Ivan Szabo. The press wrote:
"He
exhibited a portrait of Ivan Szabo, so well executed we took it at first to be a
production of that master, himself."
