David Octavius Hill
and Robert Adamson placed the following advert in The Scotsman in
1844, listing six volumes of calotypes that they planned to publish, selling
these in very limited numbers at £5 5s each.

Hill & Adamson never
published Volume 1, though their calotypes were used by the National Gallery
of Scotland for a book by this title published in the late 20th century.
I have not checked to
see which (if any) of volumes 2 to 6 they published.
