"I have a ?Christmas photo, on
glass, of the young children of William Muir (1846-1899), taken in
about 1881. It is on glass, beautifully hand-tinted, with
instructions in pencil at the bottom, to do with albumin. It
was taken by (?John) Horsburgh." |

"The family lived at 74
Great King Street, and was involved with "William MUIR, Bond 9"
Distillers, in South Leith. I notice that Horsburgh is listed as a
guest at the later wedding of one of the MUIR daughters, and could
have taken the group photo." |
