Jigsaw Web Site
"This evening I have been viewing your content
regarding Jerome jigsaw puzzles with great interest, having spent much of
the past five years or so creating my own
Jigasaurus
jigsaw-related website."
Jerome Jigsaws
"Just this evening, I have added a new album
relating to Jerome branded jigsaw puzzles, having found one within my
collection. The puzzle carries a handwritten inscription on the box dated
August 1936.
My example, like those on your own website, all
show characteristics which lead me towards a belief that the 'Jerome'
branded puzzles were cut for them by one of the more established jigsaw
firms of the era, namely Richards Art Company who produced plywood jigsaw
puzzles under the 'RACO-Intalok-Zig-Zag' brand identity."
Jerome Jigsaw Dates
"I think it unlikely that the production of
Jerome puzzles continued after WWII. Certainly, the RACO name does not
appear to have survived that period although, as I understand it, the Jerome
studios themselves remained in operation until around 1963.
It would be very nice to find some company
literature relating to the availability, prices and order procedure for
jigsaw puzzles. Fingers crossed."
