The portrait above is one of several postcard postcards of Reverends published by J R Russell of Edinburgh.  This photo is one of three that I have found, taken by T Pursey.  All three photos are taken from a fairly low position, perhaps in an attempt to give more stature to the Rev.  Here are the other two photos by T Pursey:
