History of Photography in Edinburgh Talk at Old Edinburgh Club 13 November 2013
© Old Edinburgh Club I'll begin with a few photos of an earlier event that some of the audience may remember - a walk around the City Walls in July 2008, led by Graeme Cruickshank.

A. Yorkshire to Edinburgh - I first became interested in photography while at school in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Here is a photo of some classmates that I took there and printed in te school darkroom. School Grounds -1961

C. Web Site - I decided to create a personal, non-commercial web site to record my research. - The web site was created in 2001. I'm updating it every day. - I've now expanded the web site to include: - Recollections - Maps - Old and Recent Photos - Postcards - Transport - Edinburgh Place Names + Expressions - Edinburgh Today - etc. |
