Edinburgh Castle and Dumbiedykes

This photograph was taken from the Radical Road in Holyrood Park, looking west towards Edinburgh Castle on the skyline on a fine day in October 2004, two days after the Queen officially opened the new Scottish Parliament building, nearby.

Also on the skyline are:

-  LEFT OF THE CASTLE:  The dome of the McEwan Hall.

-  RIGHT OF THE CASTLE:  The tall steeple of the Hub (Tolbooth St John's Church)
The steeple of St Giles Church (in the Royal Mile)
The dome of the Bank of Scotland (The Mound).
