Thank you to Colin Bingham, West Lothian, Scotland, for allowing me to include this photograph of his father Andrew Bingham, climbing a mast at Leith Docks. Andrew took many photos around Edinburgh from the early-1950s. Some of these were on 35mm film; others were taken with Andrew's Voigtlander camera. Colin tells me that Andrew was a shipwright/carpenter with Menzies & Co and then worked at Robbs of Leith until he retired in the mid-1960s. |
